Pain is an Illusion of the Brain

Pain - whether it be emotional, physical, mental or spiritual -  is all a matter of perception. It is a vibration/frequency - a communication tool. Just like when we speak, it is a matter of how we speak it. And we can choose when it is appropriate to speak or when it is appropriate to be still. We just need to understand how to work with the tools to create what we want.

So let's understand pain....

Pain is an illusion of the brain. Our thoughts about pain determine how we feel about pain and therefore what frequency we will project about pain. Understanding and having the knowledge about pain empowers us to determine how we want to BE and DO

Professor Lorimer Moseley from the Neuro Orthopaedic Institute explains in a very simple and humourous way the nature of pain.

TEDxAdelaide - Lorimer Moseley - Why Things Hurt

Why do we hurt?

"Do we actually experience pain, or is it merely illusion?"

From the video description...."In this video, Lorimer Moseley explores these questions, and position the pain that we feel as our bodies' way of protecting us from damaging tissues further. He also looks at what this might mean for those who suffer from chronic pain."

Pain is at the end of a long process and

IS A SIGN THAT THE BODY IS HEALING

Symptoms are the body’s way of messaging.

The body is in a constant state of self adaptation.

Here is another brilliant short video from David Butler also from the noigroup explaining:
The Drug Cabinet in the Brain.

David Butler from the Neuro Orthopaedic Institute talking about the wonders of exogenous vs. endogenously produced pain relieving chemicals. A video - taken from the NOIjam blog -designed to educate patients and clinicians on the"majesty of the brain". David makes comparisons between your brain's natural chemical production and their pharmaceutical counterparts.

Ok so now we know a bit more about the nature of pain.....

HOW CAN WE ASSIST OUR BODIES In overcoming PAIN?

As was mentioned in the videos, you can either train your brain to do 'mind over matter' or take drugs. I prefer to use tools such as the SCENAR.

I can't stress enough that PAIN CAN BE A GOOD thing and that the body has the resources to HEAL therefore it is letting you know that it is communicating with that part of the body and wants you to do something about it.

When we first have pain it can be slight in the beginning, bu if you ignore it and don't change what you are doing then a little while late it will get your attention by speaking a little more loudly to you. If you still don't pay any attention and continue as you were then the body WILL SHOUT TO GET YOUR ATTENTION! Most of us get to this stage and are in so much pain that we become stressed which increases the pain level and it all becomes quite dramatic!

So pay attention to you body and listen to what it is telling you and be kind! Have tools in your hands and give yourself regular treatments for maintenance and functioning good health.

A very effective device is the SCENAR.

SCENAR and Pain

The SCENAR is a tool that can be used personally to assist in the natural processes of the body.

SCENAR is a word that means the following.....

SELF
CONTROLLED
ENERGO
NEURO
ADAPTIVE
REGULATOR

In that the device assists the body to self control through the energetic and neural pathways in the regulation of its adaptive functions.

What is SCENAR Medical Therapy?

  • It is a non-invasive, non-toxic, hand-held, therapeutic medical device

  • In the allopathic world it alleviates pain and facilitates functional restoration and improvement

  • In the understanding and knowledge beyond, it assists us to raise our frequencies to create and maintain emotional, mental, physical and spiritual health and balance

It is a device that through Therapeutic electro-stimulation, onto and through the skin prompts the body's own healing mechanisms.
